This is just a quick update to let everyone know that although Hoburne Bashley is now closed for major refurbishment until 19th March, I will still have caravans available to hire (3 night weekends only until 11th February and then fully open).   Although all entertainment, bars etc are closed, the indoor pool and fitness suite are still open and there is no charge to use them until the newly refurbished clubhouse opens.  The golf course is still open (depending on weather) and usual charges apply.   For anyone wanting a nice quiet break away from it all or for those who love walking, cycling, horse riding or exploring the area there is still so much to see and do close by. There are lots of beautiful New Forest villages to explore and excellent meals to be eaten in numerous local pubs and restaurants before returning to a lovely warm caravan, where you will find books, games and also a selection of dvds to watch. I only have 2 vacancies now during the school holidays.    The 1st - 8th and the 15th - 22nd are both available in my very spacious 2 bedroom caravan for only £690pw.    This caravan is ideal for families of up to 4 (or 5 if baby in cot).    Most people think that 2 bedroom caravans are smaller, when in fact as most are the same dimensions as a 3 bedroom caravan (35x12), they are much more spacious having 1 bedroom less.    This 2 bedroom caravan also has plenty of space in the double bedroom to put a travel cot, so if you have a 3rd child still in a cot this caravan is excellent and quite a bit cheaper than most 3 bedroom caravans.   Have a look at the photogallery of this caravan on my Late Deals page and see what I mean. On a drive across the forest yesterday, through Bolderwood Arboretum and across to Fritham I came across this sweet newborn donkey with his Mum and had to stop and take some pictures.  They were near Janesmoor Pond which is a lovely spot for a picnic while  watching all the ponies, donkeys and often lots of Shetlands. This is such a lovely time of year to visit the New Forest National Park.   The sun is shining and it will be nice and quiet in the next few weeks before the school summer holidays.
